Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 July 2026

calculatetax.co.uk is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. For privacy questions, email [email protected].

1. Calculator entries

Information you enter into a calculator is processed in your browser. The site does not deliberately send calculator entries or results to our server, Google Analytics or another third party.

2. Optional analytics and your choice

Google Analytics loads only after you select Accept analytics. If you accept, it helps us understand page visits, traffic sources and the types of devices used to visit the site. Google may process details such as the page address, referring page, browser and device information, and approximate location derived from an IP address. Our lawful basis for this processing is your consent.

Before you accept, the Google Analytics script is not loaded by this site. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so that we can remember it. This preference is necessary to respect your selection. Use the link in the footer to accept, reject or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent reloads the page and attempts to remove analytics cookies created for this site. It does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.

Google may process analytics data outside the United Kingdom. Its handling of that information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in our Google Analytics account and is deleted when it is no longer needed for site measurement.

3. Contact messages

The contact form opens a draft in your own email app. If you send that email, we receive the details you include and use them to answer your enquiry, investigate reported errors and protect the site. This is based on our legitimate interest in responding to messages and maintaining the service. Please do not send tax identifiers, bank details or other sensitive personal information. Emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry and any related record-keeping.

4. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings. Contact us to exercise a right. You may also complain to theInformation Commissioner's Office.

5. Third-party links

Our site contains links to external websites, including HMRC and GOV.UK. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this notice when the site or the law changes. The date above shows the latest revision. If you have a question, please contact us.
